内容简介

2012年2月，时任国家副主席的习近平在访美期间提出中美要构建“前无古人，但后启来者”的新型大国关系。奥巴马总统也多次表示，正如美国的繁荣有利于中国，中国的崛起也有利于美国，美国欢迎一个强大、稳定和繁荣的中国。随着中美两国领导层更新，构建新型大国关系成为两国日益关注的问题。

什么是新型的大国关系？它都包含哪些基本要素？它跟传统的大国关系有什么不同？新型大国关系的理论基础是什么？中美两国历史经历、文化传统、政治体制不同，在中国综合国力迅速上升的背景下，建构新型的大国关系是不是一种现实的可能？中美建构新型的大国关系两国需要做些什么？新型大国关系是否只适用于中美，还是也适用于所有大国间的关系？

本书围绕这些问题，邀集国内外知名国际战略专家如王缉思、贾庆国、郑永年、巴里·布赞等进行笔谈和争论，最后由著名国际关系学者贾庆国教授负责编选和评论，冀能成为一部雅俗共赏的普及读本。
